Family Support – families funded by the Disability Services Commission are assisted to find supports, which will maintain their family member within the family and their local community.
Individuals supported through this program have the opportunity to experience and participate in the pursuits of their choice, with support to develop the skills required to join a club or team as the case may be.
Activities may also involve learning to swim, fish or kayaking – the list is endless and only limited by each individual’s drive to learn and participate in their community.
The Diversity South Collaborative Partnership program offers flexibility to individuals and families in the management of their funding and support requirements.
Ranging from self-management with limited organisational input to being fully organisationally managed, the many options between the two are what makes the program a collaborative one and are finalised after much discussion.
